It was a great spring day in Kansas for the fly out (or drive out) to the Stearman Bar & Grill at Lloyd Stearman Field in Benton, Kansas. The food was great, and even with our group of 40, it was delivered in a timely manner. Thank you to the restaurant staff.
We had several guests with us today; the family of Mike and Beth Rodriguez, and Joey Giblin's parents - Gloria and Clarence Schley from South Dakota.
We also welcomed new members; Justin and Lee Whyte, and Eric and Melisa Sorenson. Welcome new members!

We also recognized today Gerry Sibley (pictured), who will receive the Wright Brothers Award for 50 years of flying this week. Also, John Wells will have a painting exhibition at Exploration Place during the April Final Friday Art Crawl here in Wichita. Way to go!

It was such a wonderful day that several members stayed following lunch to watch some flying and also to relax and enjoy the company. Food, airplanes, and friends - that's what MAAG is all about!
Wayne Borman does a fly by for the crowd.

Scotty Jergenson brought his beautiful Cessna 195A. Earl Long flew the Aeronca Champ. There was also a good looking Cessna 140 owned by the Grassroots Flying Club in attendance.

Doug Range brought his 1949 Piper Stinson 108-3 to the gathering at Stearman Field today. We especially liked his nose art and back seat passenger.

This month's MAAG meeting will be Sunday, April 11 at 1 pm at the Stearman Field Bar and Cafe at the airport in Benton, Kansas. We have made reservations for 35-40, but they can handle more. A brief meeting will follow lunch.
We have been researching name tag options and would like your feedback. The tags will bear the MAAG logo and 3 lines of text (name, airplane type, N-number). Randy Hardy of Hardy Aviation has generously offered to pay for name tags for members and their copilots. We'll have a sign up sheet at the meeting. Thanks Randy for your support of MAAG!
Keep your fingers crossed for good flying weather. Bring a friend and introduce them to all the fun we have keeping the spirit of antique airplanes alive.
