Gathering at Eagle Field

Despite the low ceilings and scud, several MAAG members braved the weather to bring their planes to Eagle Field today. Phil Ciholas hosted this month's MAAG event, providing a delicious lunch of barbecue beef, potato salad, beans, and more. We had over 50 people in attendance and 9 airplanes fly in. Thanks Phil for a fun day of airplanes, food, and hangar flying. That's what MAAG is all about!

During a short business meeting, it was noted we only lost about $100 on the fly-in after all the bills were paid. Not bad! We also mentioned some of the ideas for making next year's fly in even better. If you have thoughts, let the club leadership know. The DVDs of the fly-in prepared by Roxane Turner were also distributed.

Thanks again to everyone for making this year's fly-in successful.

Some of the Planes at Eagle Field

The distance award goes to Phil's brother, Mike, who flew in from Evansville, Indiana in the Mitsubishi MU-2B. Jim Wiebe flew the Cassutt Racer, probably almost as fast as the MU-2! Also pictured is John Kliewer's beautiful Cessna 120.

More Planes

Pictured is a 1999 Aviat Husky (center), a 1973 Bellance 8KCAB owned by Mark Beyer (left), and Kevin Pullum's 1943 Boeing PT-17.

And a Few More

Phil goes up to get a better angle on the action. This is Andy Supinie's 1974 Cessna 182P. Looks brand new. Also, Rich Giblin's 1943 Boeing Stearman.

Last but not Least

This is Phil Ciholas' 1946 Cessna 140 and his 1970 Piper PA-24-260 Commanche. Also pictured is the Mooney Mite flown in by Mark Wiebe and the MA-2 homebuilt flown by Don Wiebe.
