MAAG visits KAM Restoration Center

The February MAAG meeting was at the new restoration center of the Kansas Aviation Museum in Wichita, Kansas.  The buildings were recently donated by Spirit AeroSystems.  They have been refurbished by museum volunteers and are now actively in use.

Walt House, museum curator, and his wife Carol hosted a chili feed, which was appropriate given the below freezing temperatures outside.  New officers were elected, with Tim Wiebe our new president, Earl Long is vice-president, and Randy Shields secretary / treasurer.  Potential guests speakers for future MAAG meetings were discussed.  The next meeting will be at the Beaumont Hotel on Saturday, March 10 at 1:00 PM.  See you there!

Here are some shots from the new facility:

February MAAG Meeting this Sunday

The February MAAG meeting will be held at the Kansas Aviation Museum in Wichita, KS this Sunday, February 12th at 1:00 PM.

We will meet at the Kansas Aviation Museum in the restoration hangar which is the building directly North of the museum. Use the same entrance off of George Washington Blvd.  However, turn right into the parking lot instead of left to go to museum

Our hosts, Walter and Carol House, will serve Chili and provide table service. Please bring a side dish to go along with the meal.

We will be electing new leaders and discussing new and old business. We will also get a tour of the restoration facility and the museum to see what progress they are making to preserve the aviation history here in the Air Capital!  Bring a friend!
