MAAG Travels to Beaumont on a Beautiful Day

With sunny skies and temperatures in the 60's, it made for a great day to travel to Beaumont, Kansas for the March meeting of MAAG today.  Ten airplanes and a few cars made the short trek and about 25 people enjoyed hamburgers and other cuisine from kitchen of the Beaumont Hotel.

John Kliewer rigged a small video camera to his plane and shot a neat video showing a departure and arrival from Beaumont as well as some nice scenes of the surrounding Kansas country side.  If you have never been there, take a look at this YouTube video.  John makes such a smooth landing, you are not sure when the touch down occurs:

The April meeting will be at the Shields Home/Hangar at Stearman Field in Benton on April 15.  Hope to see you there!  Here are some pictures from today:

MAAG to Travel to Beaumont Hotel

The March MAAG meeting will be held at the Beaumont Hotel on SATURDAY March 10th at 1:00 PM. We will be meeting in the hotel's restaurant. Planes are welcome to fly in and taxi down the street to the restaurant. If you haven’t been there, it is a real treat.

If the weather looks iffy or if we have had a bunch of rain, please check before going out there. There are no tie downs or places to put your airplane in the event of weather.
